This all‑ages ensemble performs music at Grade 3 or easier, making it a great fit for junior high students, beginning high school musicians, and adults who are returning to band after a long hiatus.
Rehearsals begin May 6, from 7:00–9:00 PM at Charles Spencer School in Grande Prairie, and continue weekly on Wednesdays throughout May and June. The season concludes with a free outdoor public concert on June 24 at 7:00 PM at the Muskoseepi Park stage.
The ensemble will be led by conductors James Galbraith, Lawrence Dommer, and Kendra Meyer, with the possibility of an additional conductor to be confirmed. Whether you’re a local student, lifelong musician, or simply looking to reconnect with music, this ensemble offers a welcoming way to be part of Grande Prairie’s vibrant arts community.
There is a participant contribution of $50/session to enroll in the Good Time Band. Payments can be made by e-transfer to admin@gpmusicsociety.com, by cash or by cheque made out to Grande Prairie Music Society
